B3any
Went to see Chris today as he's only 30ish miles away, as i was having Turbo noise problems, but he gave my car a clean bill of health which is relieving, he tightened all the subframe bolts aswell car was knocking under heavy braking and bumps all the time as some other ppl had reported, made the car feel alot tighter....... Thanks Chris

And yer Chris, feels alot tighter now, but the back feels light prob due to the tyres, but my wheels will be here next week hopefully or early the week after... That'll be the tyres, the MKIV greatly dislikes odd makes of tyre on each rear wheel. You may want me to check the rear geometry quickly when you hae the pipes fitted. Won't cost much to just check it out.

Supra_Al
Quick question Chris..................why do i keep reading about 'loose' sub frame bolts? I've read the technical before on this, and most tuners always go straight to these bolts and find they are loose or not up to torque. Still meaning to check mine, what with this lousey weather:( Al. It's a well documented problem, even the OE Toyota service book dictates they should be checked at major services. They work loose allowing the front subframe to walk about a bit, inducing self steer and creaking. I have often found the front subframes loose, and occasionally the rear ones too. Keith C
Ah - so it's something that should be checked as a matter of course on, say, a B service, and not something a dealer can charge for if I mention that they need to check and tighten it?
