Tyson
Right I am going to be getting a pressure wash for Christmas solely for using it with snow foam. What do you guys recommend? I am not looking for one that could tear a hole in time but one that will be reliable and have enough pressure to do the job properly. Budget as yet is undecided but it won't be a big one so as cheap as possible please
AlliRR
Nilfisk all the way, more pressure than a karcher for the money, proper pumps, seals and so on rsther than the crappy plastic karcher ones.... After 18months of use with my nilfisk, water froze inside it and bust the pump... Nilfisk replaced it out of warrenty no problem.

Tyson
budget is the key here , you only want to buy once , cheap they dont last long Well the supra does hardly any miles and is kept under a cover so it will probably only get washed a few dozen time a year at most. peter richards
well you can i carry both lances in my van as i like to foam as a pre wash stage , but on some cars that are cleanish i dont need my PW , so i have a small karcher foam bottle ok its not as thick as my HD one but it does the job

AlliRR
I bought my nilfisk from screwfix mate. You could search detailingworld too, theres a lot of info on varios pw's there.
Tyson
I think I am going to get this one as its perfect for what I want it for plus it gets good reviews on Amazon. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7151055/c_1/1|category_root|Garden+and+DIY|14418702/c_2/2|14418702|Pressure+washers|14418805.htm
Littler
One of the good all rounders is the nilfisk c110.3 extra, I do detailing as a hobby and hasn't ever let me down good price too! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001TUYV1O/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1319199480&sr=8-
jim
I thought the same as you SupraMan, I'd probably only use it occasionally so a cheaper one would do. I bought one from Homebase and within a couple of uses it died, so I brought it back for a refund and went to Tesco and bought a Karcher. I've not had any problems with it at all since (more than a year ago) and have used it for the car plenty and also the patio a couple of times. No experience of a Nilfisk, but in my experience like a lot of things if you buy cheap, you end up buying twice...
Matt H
I bought a Bosch aquatax years ago. It was good value and still does the job today. I've tried a top of the range Kersher one, but to be honest, even though the later is supposed to be better I didn't noticed anything. I'd suggest a budget PW is sufficient for car washing

I just want it so I can snow foam it which is why I chose that one as its 20 quid cheaper and is only 5bar less pressure.

Paul
Don't like karcher my dad has had two in the past and both only lasted a year of moderate use, build quality is very poor. Not the Karcher HD range, totally different build quality with brass/ceramic pumps and superior hoses etc. I'm sure that Pete will agree, I've owned the domestic karcher range before, had two that both went pop and then looked at this beast and don't regret it one bit. Edit: Pete, i want the top hose reel that the CX has, think we spoke before about it and Karcher either don't sell it on it's own or it's silly money as most of the HD range spares are. peter richards
yes remember paul , its not so much the reel itself its the connection inside the PW that makes it impossible to add. as for karcher the top end domestics are great i had a K 7 series wasnt even new it was an A grade from e bay battered it for 3 years and sold it for what id bought for and its still going strong with its new owner . as for the cheapies luck of the draw im afraid
