Noz
Hi guys, thinking about trying to make some biofuel for my focus. I was considering getting a Straight-Veg-Oil kit to heat the oil before it enters the engine so it wouldnt need mucking about with, but the cost of veg oil from the shop isn't much lower than actual fuel, so I'll have to source it as waste and filter it. If im going to have to filter it, I might as well treat it through a biofuel system at the same time and save having to buy a kit, get it fitted, have 2 tanks in my car and be able to use it for another car. Any experiences with this, or any recommended suppliers of biofuel kits or from waste veg oil. Opinions, experiences and recommendations welcome

Tyson
Find out where your local takeaway gets there oil from as it will be cheaper getting it from a wholesaler rather than a super market.
absz
Most modern diesel engines run on VERY fine tolerances on fuel injectors and high pressure pumps by using poor quality fuel you risk the service life of these items. i have seen damaged injectors due to veg oil and even bio deisel. prices for new injectors on modern cars are not cheap. Swampy442
Modern common rail diesels aint fans of chip oil. If you get an old citroen/Peugeot with the Bosch pump you can bang as much chip oil through it as you want. Google it and see if your car is compatible first
