Scott
I've just finished fitting my ATI damper (Man what a job that was ). Everything is all tight and I've checked TDC and everything looks great. While at it I thought I might as well check the alignment of the rest of the pulleys. Now, for the best part I think everything is fine, I think I'm seen an almost optical illusion lol. Can anyone that's fitted one of these confirm that the aircon pulley looks as if it's further in than the crank pulley but when the belt is on everything looks as it should? I've wrapped the aux belt around the crank, the aircon and the power steering. When doing this it all looks great, I just have that lingering doubt. Thanks. Chris Wilson
I have seen a few fitted and not seen any issue. A grooved belt run out of alignment will show signs of distress pretty quickly and I have not seen or heard of any issues. I would add I don't like ATI dampers and would run a stock one myself. But that's not what you asked

But that's not what you asked Thanks Chris, it's probably just the angle of things throwing it off. I guess I'll find out one way or another I don't like the failure rate of the stock ones but I know what you mean, I would rather have the dampening properties of the stockers but they are letting go more and more often. Chris Wilson
Only old ones, never seen a new one fail within an unreasonable period.
