jonc
I was lucky and grateful this year. Sky dropped my premium for a JSPEC TT to £390 after initially quoting £650 ish (12 years NCB, No points in a PL6 post code). I went to others for quotes and then sent Sky what I had been quoted and their underwriters came back with this annual price. I have to say the guy I dealt with at Sky (David Pandeka) was top notch and really helpful
Rookey
It must be hugely different for everyone as Sky just sorted me out big time...

caseys
I've always been around the £400-£500 mark. Not looking forward to the insurance hunting once single though Time to go classic? My insurers were cheeky and tried to give me the same price policy as last year even though I'd rolled over to being an old fart (30). Had a shop around then went back to them and got them down to £215 all mods declared, 5k miles, euro cover, courtesy car, club day cover and agreed value. add heywood
All to do with your postcode... As said I have a Manchester post code, half the insurance companies won't even bother quoting me anymore. The ones that do are £1.5k+. I'm 29, 10 years NCB and clean licence. This classic insurance is looking quite good, will have to find out who everyone is using.

sams
Holy hell! I'm glad I shelled out for a UK spec as even if the insurance goes up for me in January, I've only paid £880 this year (22, 3 years NCB, no points). That's a crazy quote they've given you. thats what i pay for my jspec bpu and im 22 3 years ncb 5 years drivng no convictions/claims
Septic
thats what i pay for my jspec bpu and im 22 3 years ncb 5 years drivng no convictions/claims See, I don't understand this at all. I'm 26, 3 years ncb, 4 years driving. No convictions/claims and I get process around the £1.8k mark at the lowest. I don't think I'm in a bad post code area so I don't know what to do. juanchan
Last time I paid over 4 figures for insurance I was 18! £350 last year for my UK car on an Admiral multicar policy - and adding my girlfriend to the policy reduced the premium despite her fault claim a couple of years ago

Graham1984
I found aviva worked well for me as I have only had a full licence since march this year am now 27 1year NCB from policy when I had provisional and my dad as a named driver and my jspec Na is £900 fully comp. Aviva let you count your provisional licence as having a full uk licence so it made it seam like I have had mine since 2004 when I got my provisional. Every other insurance company wanted near 1500 plus for a Na but more for a Rz but ironically the cheapest to insure is the Uk TT or the aerotop Gz which makes no sense at all. Also aviva give you 2 months free insurance if you have 4 yrs NCB and take a policy out at the moment. Always worth getting your folks or anyone older with a clean licence as it brings the policy down nicely even more so if that person is a women.
