Rob_Mitchell
T5 is an ephedrine based drug, I believe it is an ECA stack (ephedrine, caffeine aspirin), Ephedrine is banned in most sports so i would be careful mate if tested you can get in trouble. Protein wise i go for the PHD products, they are very very good value for money. yeah thought so but didnt want to sound a plonker and someone say its herbal crap made from stinging nettles. i better warn him
Rob_Mitchell
With sdistc on this one......they are not required at all, providing you are getting enough food for your protein throughout the day which is very very hard to do. They are used to supplement an already solid diet. In my case though as most others, I do rely on them to get my extra protein at times. Ignore a lot of the frankly ridiculous claims on a lot of supplements as well, most of it is pure crap and marketing drivel i agree but like yourself its an extra protein gain which i need due to my lack of intake during the day. Kirk
I'm 5.11 (6 foot to the girls ). I tend to use that same line a lot, sadly being 5.10 no one ever believes me I try to keep my diet free of supplements but at the minute im struggling to eat my usual day to day diet due to a fair bit of work on currently although they did help me a bit when I was training as they were just useful to have to hand when you finished your session. It has similiar effects as ephedrine, however again potentially has serious side effects leading to its subsequent ban. Although it was legal for a few years and could be bought over the counter. The only similair legal alternative i know of (although i haven't tried it) is Phen375 which could be got from here http://www.myfatburner.co.uk/phen375-legal-phentermine-alternative/ I dont know the legalities of it in competitive sports though

Mario
What protein do you need, whey proteins for a fast release or egg proteins for a slow release. If you go to sleep and take whey proteins, while this is made to distribute very fast, while your body needs to recover all the night so i would not take the whey before going to sleep, i would go for the slower release of egg proteins so that a body can get it's proteins on a steady slow release, and recover. In the morning and after heavy duty work outs i would choose whey over the egg protein shakes due to it's fast releasing properties, After heavy work outs muscles glycogenbuffer stores were depleted by the work outs, so to give the muscles building blocks fast, go for vitargo combined with an good whey protein, so your muscles can start recover even faster, good luck! Geo
hey guys need some advise on choosing a decent protein shake ( mostly protein in it) dont want a weight gain supplement. i ran out last month of one i have been on but i cant find the bloody tub now and it was good gear- it was in a red see through tub. any ideas or any recomendations on a good tasty shake any had dealings with T5 tablets also? Hi mate, Supplements have there roll in any sports, with bodybuilding though they play a bigger roll IMO, nothing beats real food end of, but like myself and a whole lot of others its easier to rattle a protein rich drink than eat a meal through working hours. with that said i do cook alot of my food and take with me, like Sdistic(Andrew) does. Using protein drinks can boost up the intake of protein thats needed to get your requirments in a day. So for me i need at least 400g+ a day to grow, 300g when im dieting. I use Extreme Pro6, and Muscle Fury Just now, i used to use My protein and Bulk Powder but i tend to switch about protein these days, like to test whats out there and if it makes a difference. But i tend to go more for a nice flavour. Right T5's the t5 tablet is essentially an eca stack, im not 100% sure of the composition but they will vary, depending on where/who you buy them from, all can be had individually though, another thing to keep in mind is that this product does affect your Thyroid glad, think to yourself, do you want this messed about with??? Google it!!!!! e = ephedrine c = cafeinne a = asprin ephedrine this is a herb that raises the temperature slightly and can help in exercise to provide additional energy, it gives a feeling of a buzz, which i believe is the same as a speed induced buzz different side effects affect people in different ways, some people get shakes, which last for 10mins, or longer all depends on how you react?? cafeinne basically the cafeinne works with the ephedrine and the higher the amounts consumed then the more the buzz kicks in, the cafeinne element is very highly responsible for the headache side effects that are often felt, cafeinne is a good fat burner on its own but is even better when mixed with ephedrine asprin basically the apsrin is there to limit some of the other side effects (particularyl headaches) different people have different tolerances so the usual plan is to do a week on a week off (or two weeks on a week or two off) as your body will become tolerant to all elements IMO of t5's is that there is a lot of stuff in them that really is not needed, a good solid diet, cardio, consistency and will power will do wonders for anyone wanting to lose the lbs..... Vanilla is what i use, but my friend uses choc we both swear that there as amazing as each other, no idea about strawberry though. Should be fine, water/milk is don't matter bud, i would only switch to water in the last 2/3 wks before a show but im just picky. T5's dude, stay away from them, thats all i will say..... Better off just using a good pre workout drink,

Tannhauser
http://i24.servimg.com/u/f24/13/64/55/33/me10.jpg That's a very substantial arm. However, I see that you have left a number of things in a bit of a mess on top of that chest in your bedroom. Suggest you tidy those away for greater gains. Also, take those girly gloves off. Tannhauser
For what it's worth, supplements are not necessary if your diet is good enough. However, if (like me) you struggle to find enough time during working hours to eat solid food regularly enough, it's a good meal replacement plus has the advantage of being more bioavailable (as it is already in pretty basic form and won't require much digestion). This. Regarding which brand, my question is 'How do you know what a good brand of protein is?' Bodybuilders will say 'this is a good brand because I grow better on it', but (a) that's based on one person's results and (b) it's unlikely that they have kept everything the same since their less favoured brands (which they didn't make progress on). So it's therefore hard to be certain that the increased progress is related to the brand of protein, or any one of a hundred other factors. As Mikey says, the marketing claims are just that - marketing. In marketing the product, the company can shoot for the high end by advertising it as a 'quality product' (more margin but less volume) or as a cheap and cheerful product (less margin but greater volume). I remain to be convinced that there are any more benefits from ingesting a protein priced at, say, £30 for two kilos, compared to one costing £40 for 5kg. Our natural tendency is to believe that something that costs more has to be better quality, but I'm not so sure it applies in this case. For most trainees, just getting down a sufficient number of calories (and maybe protein, but I'm not even convinced about that) is the main challenge to be overcome. Myprotein and bulkpowders have already been mentioned on here, and in my view the extra price of premium brands just isn't worth it.
Matt H
Also, take those girly gloves off. Do you never wear gloves, Tannhauser? I always wear gloves nowadays to avoid callouses, particulary when doing 'pulling' exercises (back / bicep). I was prone to them and they often got quite sore. Septic
So what brand protein shake do you use then Tan?

I always wear gloves nowadays to avoid callouses, particulary when doing 'pulling' exercises (back / bicep). I was prone to them and they often got quite sore. Never. I don't mind the calluses. Also: my grip is pretty feeble as it is, and I have little baby hands, so wearing gloves makes it tougher to hang onto the bar. So what brand protein shake do you use then Tan? I just ordered some from bulkpowders. To be fair, my bodybuilding days are a long time behind me, so I don't really pay that much attention to nutrition. I could well be wrong in my views. But personally, I'm too tight to pay out the extra money on the basis of what I regard as largely anecdotal evidence.
supra joe
I find it hard putting on mass without suppliments as my metabolism is so fast, its hard to find the right ballance as I've done martial arts since I was 8 and I'm quite serious about my mma, wrestling bjj etc so can't get too big. I've found the right ballance to keep up your cardio stay ripped and build, just stick to 4 sets of 12 for each exercise and fail on your last 4 reps. Used to weigh 17 and a half stone, now I'm 15 and a half with 7 percent bodyfat and a 32 inch waist. using celltech and cyclone. Train 6 days and eat more high protein foods than I do suppliments but they do help. I've also found that jack 3d helps when you can't be bothered lol.i
