AEM Gauge

Hi peeps

Just fitted a AEM air/fuel ratio gauge to my sup.

its all working fine and reading fine. The problem im haveing is that it is interfering with my stereo as in there is a buzzing coming though the speakers. when i disconnect either of the two connection going to the gauge the interferance stops. all the wires have been connected with insulated connecters and crimped

(never had any problem with useing them before) and have insulated the white and blue wires that i have used. so im geussing its the gauge its self.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was the cause and possibly the solution.

Thanks in advance

Its all down to what you have the power supplys for the AEM connected to, at a guess you've connected it to the radio/head unit power supply and ground? - I used the cigar lighter for my one... for two reasons really, higher current capacity and its seperate to the radio!

Also, you've have to get a really good ground connection too... as this is the most probably cause.

i have put the gauge where the clock used to be. so used the live and ground for what used to run to that

Hmm - all I can suggest is try a different supply and ground, other than that - dodgy guage?

That was my thoughts on it to. will try a diffrent live and ground if dont work gauge will be going out of the window as that sought of thing drive me mad.

Thanks for trying heckler

I ended up removing the AEM out of my car as the guage started playing up... now have an innovative, much better WB if you ask me.
