making 350z into 4 seater?

You should post up on 350z-uk.com, I've been a Zed owner for years and never seen anything like this. Quite clever, no idea what it would do to the handling and I doubt there is any head or leg room. If you're that desperate then maybe change to the G35 (if you can live with the looks on a standard car).

Pointless and downright dangerous if you don't mind me saying.

Lap belts are called that for a reason. Those rear belts would cause serious injury in even a moderately slow impact.

No leg room whatsoever and I'd imagine head room is a joke also.

Why in God's name would you even consider this? Surely there are fast four seaters out there that were designed with four seats in them to begin with.

They are normal 3 point seat belts in the back where are you seeing lap belts?

The seats will be completely useless that's why they didn't put them there in the first place.

lol well i thought it was clever to as this was one of the reasons i was swaying more to the 350gt (g35) its just nice to have 4 seats incase and the reason i only looking at the 350z and g35

because there about the best jap cars for around 6-7k thats not too old , jap wise there nothink thats under 10 year old

what do people think of this for a g35 with gtr kit

do you like the 350z, i drove one the other day was nice in 1st and 2nd rest felt slow, or is it a car you need to keep the revs right up, i know its no supra but to drive and be in was very nice.

any realiability issues ? i have done research and seem ok. i dont really want to go asking buying questions in the 350z forum yet as most will prob be biased like they where when i was looking at rx8's

i wanted to know if another engine can be put in a rx8 because of the mpg, oil usage and engines needing replacing so thought someone might have put another engine in one

All i got was why you want to change the engine why not just buy spare engine incase lol that didnt make me feel any better

i love my supra i really do i just would feel more contemp with something newer as i know engines last forever but its the other parts

Save the money and keep the Supra. If things start to go, then sort them out and get something newer. Although some new cars can be pretty unreliable.

Honestly, new cars are throw-away items.

The more I work on my car the more I appreciate it for it's no nonsense approach to most things that a newer car would have you pulling your hair out over or, at the very least, handing a large wad of notes over to a "quailifed engineer" to sort out with a laptop and a host of "special service tools".

Give me a twenty year old Supra and a basic tool kit any day of the week.

I only wish it was economically viable to tax one in this country, so I could appreciate every day.

i cant as we want to save for house and i worry with the supra what could go wrong , i have already spent over 1500 in 5 months that was including some paintwork and

because its turbo eventually thats going to cost me when they need replacing i am looking at long term and i know the 350z will be the more reliable and cheaper option for me in the future

especially because the car will have around 60k compared to around 100k which mine must be. the 350z is no supra when you put your foot down or as good to look at but good enough for now.

plus when i win the lotto soon will be able to treat myself, i think i would buy a merc maclaren slr seen one in white with red roof that will do :eyebrows:

there was one 350z that came to suprapod.. it arrived overheating. while at suprapod about 5 people had to help fix it's broken electric window... unlike any older supra there. ;)

I'm on my second zed, I had an 05 plate JDM and sold it to my bro as I wanted something a little more refined so I bought a 330coupe. Trouble is everytime my bro visited I missed the zed so after a year I bought a 57 plate GT (hi-rev 313 verision) and I adore it. I'm always looking for new cars but with this one I'm not, I'd only change for a 370 or a noble and I'm not quite ready to make that jump. The newer zed feels a lot different to the old one, better engine, better handling and better interior/exterior. I have the twin induction kit and she roars. Fast enough for me, not great on petrol and expensive tax but I really love driving her. Much faster than my NA supra and a million times better handling, obviously quicker cars around but I'm getting into bikes so speed has a different meaning :D

Reliability wise, I'm on my second and zero issues from this one or my old one that my bro still has. The engine is superb though there are rumours recently that you must run them on super unleaded (as the manual says) or the engines can go. Build quality inside won't win any prizes on the early models (-06) but superb cars for the relatively small amount of money they are going for. Parts can be expensive but its a performance sports car so to be expected, totally manageable costs though (IMO).
