Westy
Awesome! Just needs chrome rings round the suspension mounts to finish it off.
Brazil
I prefer the way it looked before, because it covered the black faded engine bay and firewall with nice colored or braided hoses..! I also prefer the blue silicone hoses to the red ones..! Though if the engine bay was painted to match the exterior of the car than that would be a whole different thing..! ;-)
Westy
In sure it says earlier in the thread that the bay will be sprayed to match the car mate.

There's been talk of me pulling the engine over the winter and having the whole bay done.

It really deserves it, especially after all the work you've done to it...! :-)

sparkystav
Amazing work, im doing this myself on my IS and was wondering if i should keep the engine bay body coloured or spray it black. Thing is i have the same problem he will have, red hoses in a red engine bay? (i have blue on blue)
sdistc
painted bay would look wonderful but where do you stop lol. looks quality, amazing how messy it looked before and i liked that bay once upon a time yeah, and I blame you two! Once upon a time, it was just enough to have a big single turbo... now, you have to have a clean engine bay as well Although, I must confess I've always wanted a wire tuck but just didn't have time/opportunity to do it. hodge
Run the 2 blue wires to be back. The white wire is for the rear washer just tape it up.
Stevo
Is that why my rear washer doesn't work now Hodge?

Kevin Huntley
I dropped the Car off with John (Shiney Bits)for a full engine bay tidy up. He removed any unnecessary accessories, wiring and vacuum piping. John did a fantastic job and the engine bay looks far less cluttered. I always thought my engine bay looked good in the past but after John has worked his magic it looks like a different bay, simply stunning work. John is the man when it comes to this sort of stuff and his work is of the highest quality, he is a credit to the forum. I also need to thank my friend Shaun Coulson from Mirror Finshes who did an amazing job on spraying the engine bay in House of Colour Cinder red, his attention detail is awesome and he put alot of man hours into getting the bay done to this standard. Before: After: APR Carbon cooling plate fitted. Just need to fit my new polished upper rad hose and spray the bottom of the fuse box and that will be the job done. Looking forward to a nice day to get some good pictures. Thanks Kevin
