This is my one, A rather grubby looking actually ( I must give it a clean ) SeaWolf Avenger. Don't know quite why it has such an agressive name, but its good for 3000m deep! 3km underwater, or nearly 2 miles. I couldn't even get to the bottom of the diving pool.

  • 1 month later...

I've just bought myself a new toy

It's a Cristopher Ward C4 Peregrine, BBMF limited edition. Only 100 were made and were offered almost exclusively to the Battle of Britain Memorial flight crew. Mine's number 99 :)

It's a quartz movement, but it's the design and exclusivity I like about his watch.

As a brand, I think Christopher Ward are fantastic, and will be buying one of their auto movement dress watches before long.

I'd love one of these, but if I ever have £270,000, I'm sure a watch will be low down on the list :(

I've just received a nice package in the post, containing this

That is gorgeous  love it.

I've decided I want an old Rolex Submariner, best get saving :D

You and me both! Damn motor racing keeps getting in the way of my chrono problem these days though. I have been shopping for a new strap for the Speedy again... will post pictures if I can actually find what I want for sale.

Thanks :)

I was suprised to find its actually much nicer in the flesh than pictures make out :D

I would highly recommend a Christopher Ward watch to anyone who wants a high quality watch at a more affordable price (most are between £300 and £1000)

Christopher wards C60 Trident is heavily influenced by the classic Submariners

I've become very interested in watches over the last couple of years.

I sported a Breitling Aerospace for a while but I sold it in 2009.

I also had a Dubois et Fils 1912 Chronographe 18ct white gold case with a Valjoux 7751 movement.

However times have changed and spending too much money on a watch is a thing of the past.

Recently I bought this. It was cheap and looks ok for the money.

And then I bought this last week.

It uses a Seiko VK63 quartz with a mechanical stepper attached for the chrono function (mecaquartz).

I like it, it has good wrist presence, I love the pvd finish on the case and I'll post up some better pics if you're interested.

My next one is something German, quite different and when I've got it I'll put some pics up. I don't want to tell what it is yet as they're on back order and I want to bag one first! :D
