d_d
Anyone had any experience with the 6 cylinder boxer engine. Any common problems i should no about? Or should i just stay away from them? End of day its a flat 6 cylinder so should go on for sometime hopefully?
edinlexusV8
Yeah Subaru legacy is a decent car. Pretty reliable and from my experience can easily get 150K miles on the engine with no issues as long as it is not abused and well looked after. The twin turbo version has decent bhp. But the boxer engines are a real pain in the ar** to fix when things go wrong. Even changing spark plugs & timing belts takes for ever on a 4 cylinder 4 cam motor. Expect to pay mega bucks if things go wrong! I would mostly advice you to avoid unless the cars been well looked after in good condition and has full service history. Check that the timing belts are replaced if not you are looking at atleast an extra £700 to get the job done properly.
