Shane
Well cheaper than it has been in a while at least. 5 litre bottles for £5, or 2 x 5 litre bottles for £9. Available for home delivery in quantity too which is nice as they restrict quantities normally.

Tyson
it will only work on old cars though as new ones have more complex fuel injection systems and it ruins them, you can only run pump bio diesel with them.
Chris Wilson
I was joking, I think he'd be mortified at the very thought My pal runs his 106 on it very successfully.

Shane
This offer is back on if there is anyone in need of some cheap SVO. 10 litres for 9 quid!
Chris Wilson
Is 9 quid for 10 litres actually considered cheap then, these days? How does that compare to running an already converted car on LPG?
wile e coyote
I have a r reg range rover 2.5 td, will this be ok ? its got the bmw lump in it
Shane
Yes Chris, since HMRC relaxed the legislation on using it on the road the price shot up. It doubled over a 3 month period following the change. Average price is around 1.35 per litre meaning it really doesnt save you anything at that price. Obviously if you can find waste stuff free and are happy to clean it up then that's different. Not sure about lpg, not something I have ever looked at.Is 9 quid for 10 litres actually considered cheap then, these days? How does that compare to running an already converted car on LPG? Wouldnt like to say, there is a website that has a database of different cars and how they run on straight or mixed and that should give you a clue. Try a search on SVO Database or something like. The lucas CAV pumps are not SVO friendly at all, but even they will sometimes be ok on a mix, but now the price of oil has shot up, even this has to be questioned. Yours may have a Bosch pump and they are reckoned to be the best. I get quite a bit of waste stuff from the kitchens at work so that helps me, but clean new stuff is nice and simple. Noz
I have a r reg range rover 2.5 td, will this be ok ? its got the bmw lump in it depends on the year. you can run around 5% veg oil with diesel mix, also like the petrol-diesel mix. ive ran my 2000 focus on 5% and it was fine. its not recommended to do anything more than that as veg oil it too think. if i could find a decent supplier of veg oil il definitely make biofuel. Unless you were doing a huge amount of miles a 5% mix would be pointless and not yield any real saving surely? Have a look here: http://www.bio-power.co.uk/tryit.htm Some more info here, its well out of date in terms of being updated but some good info all the same. http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/fuelsdatabase/database/index.php
