stevie_b
Now I don't know but can only stab in the dark here.... but surely the defence minister can have a team around him that he chooses (subject to security clearance) to carry out his job, but in this case, is he employed by the ministry in an official capacity and therefore on the payroll, or is he a friend/mate/partner/companian of the Dr in a non official capacity, therefore why does his buisness card suggest otherwise and is he being paid and by whom? And if the later, how have the security people allowed this guy to be in on and privvy to such high level stuff? Its an amazing story and am looking forward to the next chapter. Bets anyone? I think you're right, but silence isn't an appropriate response from Dr Fox (or whoever) when asked who those people are and where they fit into it. AFAIK (I'm no expert) ministers are helped by civil servants (not really of their own choosing, I guess). Whether they can employ their own choice of advisers, I'm not sure. Shane
Well he's gone as I am sure we all suspected he would be. Been following it on Sky news over the weekend and now the Police have received a complaint of fraud against Mr Werrity and are going to look into it. So..if they look into it and decide he has taken money from "sponsors and supporters" and not spent it on what they thought he was spending it on, or if they decide that he committed fraud in terms of miss representation presenting himself as a official advisor, will the good Dr get knicked for aiding and abetting, or worse conspiracy? My money is that Gus what's his name will decide there was some mistakes made and then they will all go home and live happy ever after and we wont hear much more about it, until he "Fox" gets re-appointed into cabinet again at a later date. ellis
in terms of miss representation Who is this woman and how is she involved? Is this some bizarre 3-way, homo-bi-erotic, brown-hatting, motfest?!
Paul
I believe the expression "Brown Hatter" was brought into parlance through the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Thorpe MP What about 'Chutney Ferret', what's the origin of that?
Shane
Who is this woman and how is she involved? Is this some bizarre 3-way, homo-bi-erotic, brown-hatting, motfest?! Yes very good. However if sex stories start to emerge, I suspect ladies may not be involved!
