Chris Wilson
A friend of mine, George Page, invented the Carcoon and patented it, he asked several of us to invest in it and we laughed, thinking it a crazy idea.... We were fools, he put himself at considerable risk and did it off his own bat, and has shown he had imagination and foresight. Sure beats spraying cars, which was his original job None of this affects me, as I would be viewed with suspicion if I had a clean car, people would be thinking bleach and DNA removal. Havard
Well it looks like I have sorted it. Got a couple of bungee straps of Amazon (£3) and tied them between the towing eyes at the front of the car. I have sewn on a small loop on the front of the cover and linked the bungee straps through it. Over Christmas and New Year the winds here have been "biblical" and I have lost count of the number of times I have had to go out and dry the front of the car. Even with an alloy wheel resting against the bumper bottom and a full bucket of water on top of that resting against the number plate it still ended up in the middle of the bonnet. H. What do you connect the other end to? This is what I have done with mine. I have just swapped a couple of the bungee cords as they felt a bit tight on the car. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/2619/p1000584si.jpg This was what I was finding every morning and whenever I pulled up on the drive at tea time. http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8471/p1000585g.jpg H. Havard
How are the headlights now mate? They still have moisture in but no where near as much. Since the cover went back on they have been gradually improving, even in the cold weather. I am beginning to think that there are bits missing from the new shells that I bought last may. I need to check if the snorkels are there and I seem to remember some rubber cups that were on my NA that aren't on these. Once the weather improves I am going to get to the bottom of the problem. H. It does look a lot shinier than mine..!! I still can't see what you clip yours on to but having the VS front would suggest a lip underneath? I am quite happy with mine but the thing with the front has done my noggin in..!!
