Is this any different to the standard one?

It is the standard one, not too sure if it needed to be removed to fit the kit or maybe in Japan mechanics just god fed up with it and dumped it

If the other TRD3000GT owners are running one , going to try and source one

Also, its relevant for cooling due to pressure zones as well as clearing away turbulence

I agree, it's more aerodynamic than for keeping the engine bay clean ;) Reduces turbulence, aids stability and increases MPG, theoretically. probably some Jap will have the figures for all this, pity car makers don't publish documentation after say 15 years.

the TRD original one comes with a different larger undertray to cover bumper., but you can just use stock.

Are you talking about the diffuser section on the bumper ? It reaches back under the oil pump, It looks like the stock unit covers the underneath completely , as far back as the front cross member

Yeah that^^^^

the stock engine undertray bolts on directly behind the front deffuser which is a part of the bumper which is different to a stock bumper which has a separate deffuser.

And before anyone pipes up and tells me my car doesn't have a genuine kit but the genuine front bumper is the same as the MVP replica.
