Rob_Mitchell
The only way your get the spats off is trying to get a blade behind the spat, good luck on not damaging the paint though.
SteveC
A hot air gun will make it easier to get the bits off with the help of a scraper or similar. Petrol on a rag will get the rest of the goo off. Edited October 10, 2011 by SteveC (see edit history)
SupraDan24
What about trying the wire they use to remove windsceens Rob, would that have a better chance at not damaging the paint?
