Chris Wilson
The stock crown wheel and pinion and axle casing is used in all LSD upgrades, only the planetary gears bit, (centre section casing) will differ. So if you want something DESIGNED to take that sort of torque through big tyres giving good traction you are probably looking at some of the Viper race diffs and a lot of expense having mounts and driveshafts fabricated. If you want the very best put a transaxle in it from something like a Pantera or a Mangusta with it's old ZF unit, or a proper race transaxle if it's only used as a track car, like a Hewland. VERY costly with probably a new rear subframe and all the rear floorpan carved about. If you upgrade part of the drivetrain to be bullet proof the weakness then moves elsewhere, like the gearbox, or rear hub splines.
