Ricky49
Well after getting bummed up the rear at the end of June and having the car fully repaired a few weeks ago I got a surprising phone call this morning. My solicitor rang to say that the insurance company of the guy that hit me were offering a sum over and above what I was expecting to get. I was happy to accept anything over £2000 but they came in at £3200 plus my loss of earning for the time I had off. Pretty chuffed with that so now I wait for the cheque to arrive and clear then transfer the funds into SRD's account:eyebrows: or maybe interested in JP block that he is selling. stevie_b
is that for personal injury? I got 7.5k What were your injuries? You probably didn't intend this but threads like this can come across in a purely money-driven way. Readers forget/ignore the literal pain that is caused, and only see £££ signs. Gaz6002
Hope you were at least slightly hurt. You'd assume so as he had time off from work.
sdistc
Result. What were your injuries Ricky? Now, a nasty person would make some disparaging comment about Ricky being from Preston - like, for example, that perhaps the insurance assessor didn't realise Ricky was from Preston, and thought instead brain damage caused him to talk that way. Good thing I'm a nice person
sdistc
But seriously, good to hear you're getting things covered with the insurance, mate. Looking forward to seeing the newly refreshed car in person soon.
