JMB
Hi all I'll install my downpipe (catless) this week, but I do not have any 02 sensor's hole. Should I do one ? If so, as I will run catless, will I have an engine error code ? waiting to read you

JMB
are you sure ? I was afraid of that As many downpipe like the HKS has a 02 hole. Anyway i'll do a special hole for my AFR gauge
trinitom
you may get a error code by removing the o2 sensor, or the cat malfunction light on the top left. And i think the best place to install the afr sensor, should be on the second decat.
JMB
thanks for the AFR advice. Concerning the o2 sensor, should I install it with an "o2 cheater" ?
trinitom
you can just remove it, and unplug the little lamp from the cat malfunction indicator. job done.
hodge
Are we talking the actual O2 sensor or the cat temp sensor which is in the cat. If it's the cat temp sensor, lift the carpet up in the drivers side and it will unplug and pull out the hole. Then all is left to do is put another grommet in. If you do mean the O2 sensor the car won't run correctly without it. It will eventually overfuel very badly and foul the plugs.

Excuse but as I am not an expert lol How can I unplug the lamp. I was asking concerning the sensor because on my rx8, when I removed it the car wasn't running well. I was talking about the 02 sensor wich is plugged in the midpipe's cat. any solution ?
trinitom
i think you are confused about this, the o2 sensor is not located on the cat. like hodge said that's the cat sensor.
