richarde7927
I coming home from work tonight when i happened to see a puff of smoke come from the back of my car as i touched the throttle after coasting in 2nd gear, so i watched for a mile or so and it keeped doing it , by the time i got home , if you press the throttle even when the car is sat still it poors out white smoke . the engine is running sweet with no noises and if i hold the engine at 3000rpm for 10 or so seconds there is no smoke from the exhaust but as soon as you rev the car again it poors out . I only did an oil and filter change 2 weeks ago and i never had to top the oil up between services so it has not been burning any oil before today . Im hoping its just the turbos that have failed what do you guys think . Rich.
Scott
White smoke generally points to water bud, if the seals go would you not see blackish/blue smoke from the oil burning? Doesn't sound good mate, hope it's an easy fix
richarde7927
Im not 100 % sure it the turbo at the min but the engine is running sweet as always and it smells like burning oil , my brother had a renault 5 turbo and the turbo went on that and the smoke was white . eather way im without a car now , ill get it to my unit tomorrow and strip it out for a look see . Im just hoping and praying there is nothing wrong with the engine . Rich.

trinitom
You can remove the pipe that goes to the intercooler, and have a look if there is excessive oil in the pipes. And good luck as the stock turbos are a pain in the axx to remove!
