You're telling me that motorsport is dangerous? No way.

 

Well its technically not motorsport, its an open speed motorway........ thats the point of that blog

 

nasty - some lovely cars in that mess - what model porsche is/was this? Love it...

I agree!! But its the technical classification that is the problem. My insurance company says track :) and its not one of the approved ones either :(

 

I understand that, but I honestly can't see anyone going there and not knowing the risks involved. You'd have to be pretty damn special to do that. I don't get all this campaigning to make it safer. Just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine :)

The world is full of "special" people.... just look at that Drifting thread.....

Thing is that the workers didn't set up the restrictions in an adequate way. I've watched a video from that day and the warning lights + Speed limit are behind a blind corner which is just bonkers on a fair fast section... the driver from the video also almost hit another car.

 

As with the other points it is true that there are many idiots driving and showing off but everybody with a clear mind should be able to understand how dangerous the ring ist with its various road surfaces and blind corners.

 

On a personal note... as long as they don't endanger me or others i don't care about them... let's call it natural selection...
