Tee from China
I'm hoping that some knowledgeable sole's reading this and can help with the problem:sly: I recently moved apartments through my job and in my old place I connected my router through the modem and all was fine except I couldn't lock the access to the router! Now the new place had/has Wi-Fi as the last occupant used it for his laptop. If I connect my desktop to the modem the Internet connects instantly, however if I connect the router as before the connection fails! What am I doing wrong? I connected as before and know that the Wi-Fi was working a month ago!. I am using the existing and my own router but the problem is exactly the same. Cant use my own modem as the one here now is not wired the same and there is no wall plug I can use and the wire for the line to the modem is not the usual plug either and connects inside - but as I said it was all working before so why the problems now? Anyone got any answers? Cheers Tee

Tee from China
What does that mean?how can that be as the wifi was working in this apartment before I moved in and the router and modem were working fine. Is it the connecting to the desktop before the wifi was used only on a laptop
