DodgyRog
Quick question, My brake calipers are painted in Hammerite I am sure I read somewhere that you need to add 2nd 3rd layers before the paint drys to hard to allow the different layers to bond So here to the question How do you repaint them, freshen them up ? Do I need to strip all the old Hammerite off and start again or can I just give them a good key ? I am only looking to freshen them up a bit and want to paint them on the car Cheers Rog
Bossco
You will be fine to give them a coat on the car. Use hamerite smooth and brush it os carfully and you will get a nice finish.

mustang
I think you either have to do it when still tacky or wait until its hardened fully, so as already said, it'll be fine.
