any advice on fitting a front mount intercooler on my standard front bumper?

I've just received my FMIC and I was looking at the space behind the front bumper and was wondering if it fits straight in or will I need to do anything else to fit it?

 

also will it work with my active spoiler?

I fitted my Greddy FMIC direct behind the OEM front bumper, no problems...

what and nothing had to be moved? theres not much space down there

Make sure the pipework will fit around the stock airbox if you have one. I've read of a few FMICs not fitting due to the route the pipework takes.

Or remove the mechanism and lock it down.

yep their awfull at filtering compared to the K & N or Apexi to the point it might as well not be on there

 

do a search as theres a test showing the awfull results compared to other filters

 

o/e airbox is best with an Apexi or K & N panel filter

Power steering cooler needs to be binned, the kit should have a replacement..

 

Coolant bottle needs to be removed, kit should have a replacement, fits next to the battery...

 

Active spoiler mechanism has to be removed, you can lock it down as suggested..
