This is true. Personally an RS4 or RS6 would be my choice..!!

RS6 is definitely nice if you are also catering for the family. As for RS4... a bit of a hard decision there. The engine is awesome but uses a LOT of oil. The body (in my opinion) is getting very dated and definitely doesn't stand out much...

It's always been understated compared to an M3 etc but I like that. The engine is the main reason for buying really. Didn't realise the oil usage was THAT bad? Mrs H's 2.0 A4 was a little heavy on the oil and at £16 a litre for every 650 miles I suppose it's not ideal.

The RS4 is worse ...it's recommended you keep at least 1litre of fully synth in the boot :p Although the sound the engine produce is just phenomenal!

Why?

How about this one then. 300 quid cheaper and lower mileage?

Ah don't mind me H, I just don't like Mercs, or BMWs for that matter. I just never warmed to them as desireables really.

I do have a soft spot for a couple of the older models from both, but as a rule I just ignore them.

Everyone to their own I suppose. I like cars that make you look rich, without spending a great deal of money....:D

SL65 or bust!

For under £20K?

*Goes off to look on PH*

Just curious as to what's out there in the £10-£20k price range?

Top of my list was a TVR Cerbera. but thats now out the window.

Also like the E46 M3's..... cheap as chips now around £14-£15k for a decent one. Skyline R34 GTR still too much. Escort cossie? (bit c**p??)... would rather RWD.

What else falls into this price brack - must look NICE and must be powerful, infact its gonna take a small miracle for me to consider changing the Supra!! :D

Talk to me

I moved from Supra TT to E46M3, M3 is easier for me to transport my 2 years old daughter to nursery and back. I would choose a single turbo Supra over the M3 any day but it will do for now :p

I bought mine for 7k so a 15k car would be very low mileage and as new condition.

Yea im suprised how cheap the e46 m3 is now. Would be practical for my 2 kids and the kinda car i could drive all year if i wanted. Plus id end up with a few grand change in my bank .... But .... It wont be the same as my supra!!!!

Only one thing left to do. Save up for a 6 speed and keep the Supra. Just think how much money you'll have wasted turning it into what it was if you come to sell it.
