ManwithSupra
Hi All, Again as I am now looking to sell the Supra, I only every half installed this kit and never got around to wiring it up. Basically this kit completely takes control of the A340E TT Auto gearbox and adds Tiptronic control to it (not for use with the VVTI) With this system you are able to change the transmission settings based on speed, engine load, engine speed and many other parameters. You can adjust how fast and how hard it shifts, even have two separate profiles (one for road and one for race) if you wished to. It also has a Dyno mode for Auto's which could prove a nice feature for people who have high BHP Automatics. Product Specifications Many special operating modes available including, manual mode for upshift/downshift button capability (paddle shifting) All components specified for automotive conditions (125 degrees C with fuel, grease, and oil resistance). 9 PWM Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp) 3 Digital Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp) 4 frequency inputs (Engine Speed, TC Speed, Driveshaft speed, additional speed) RS 232, CAN (2.0b) communications 16 Digital Inputs 6 Analogue Inputs 1 frequency output (speedometer control) Easy to use windows software interface Data logging capability Take a look at the manual http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/download/db/TCU_Master_Manual_rev2.1.pdf I am also selling the Paddle shifter unit too, this also gives a readout of the following parameters.. * Current Gear * Throttle Position * Vehicle Speed * Manifold Pressure * Coolant Temperature * Transmission Temperature * TCC Lockup % * Line Pressure % * Engine RPM / 10 * Torque Converter Slip * Transmission Slip * Driveshaft RPM / 10 * Auto Turbine RPM / 10 * Lever Position The steering boss and airbag deactivation kit will not be included. If you have questions then please feel free to PM me, otherwise please read the manuals on this. The kit come with the various Looms needed to wire it up (it’s not plug and play) as well as the Can bus connections for the Paddle shifter, basically everything i found that needs to be purchased for installation in a Supra. The ECU already has a base A340E Transmission map already installed however it’s probably out of date now; I believe you can still download the base maps from PCS's website. http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/ This kit cost around £1200 (with all the looms etc) Its up for sale for £700+ Delivery Regards Richard Stock

ManwithSupra
Hi! Do u have any video from the functioning of transmission controller? May be from the supra. Thx Unfortunately not - Sorry, I know that this kit has been installed in few Supra's in the USA though, not that it’s of any help.

Jamesy
Nice bit of kit this - how does it differ to the version Ryan is talking about doing mate? (if you're familiar with his?)
ManwithSupra
Was it that one Ryan posted up that had been installed in an auto MR2? If so then the one that Ryan was talking about as far as I can see will only control the NA auto's as these only have 3 solenoids and manual line pressure control. This is no use to the TT's auto's as these boxes have 5 solenoids and the line pressure is controlled electronically This unit will only work with the non vvti TT autobox (I think the vvti models came with tiptronic as standard anyway) The nice thing with this unit is that you can change every parameter that can be changed of the box, from how hard it shifts to how fast it shifts, what speed you want it to automatically change down or what speed you want it to change up. The unit also does something called full manual which means the box will do as its told (no shift profiles for engine or gearbox protection), i.e if you wanted to change from 4th (od) to 1st it will try and do it although I would not recommend that of course lol. The unit also has semi auto mode, this means it will keep shift profiles (which you can adjust to how you like it, hard, fast etc) as in normal operation however you have control via the paddles, if for instance you downshift and you are going too fast for the gear selected then it won't let you change down until it reaches the correct speed. Again all of these profiles can be adjusted via the software to suit your own style. You can also program a pushbutton for "dyno" mode, this locks up the box on the 1:1 ratio gear (which I can't remember) so you can put the car on a dyno and get an accurate bhp/torque reading. Of course finally you have standard auto mode which can again be adjusted to be as hard and fast as you want but the paddles will be switched off. You can also program an external pushbutton to select between two shift tables, so perhaps one for the road and one for race/spirited drive etc. You can do pretty much anything that's possible to do with the autobox with this unit..
