Advice & Input please: Checklist for single turbo car that has been sitting 2+ years

Hi all.

I'm getting pretty close to the Supra being rewired and retuned, and am thinking that the car has been off the road (barring a week) for almost 3 years - and perhaps a few parts need to be checked or refreshed.

I'm thinking:

* injectors flow-tested

* fuel pumps flow-tested

* flush/replace coolant

* flush/replace engine oil - last replaced in Feb this year, driven 450 miles

* flush/replace brake fluid - last replaced Dec 08, driven 3000 miles

* flush/replace power steering fluid - last replaced March 08, driven 4-5000 miles

* replace battery

What else do people think should be checked over?

Dont know why you'd need the injectors flow tested? But fluids is certainly advisable, pads and discs condition? Tyres?

As George says, better safe than sorry - as this isn't a stock car, there are more non-OEM quality parts that could potentially be an issue, especially after so long off the road.

As above, definitely all fluids, check tyres, check brakes, new plugs and new filters.

Ahh, plugs and filters. Thanks Scott! I have a feeling Ryan will need to overhaul the ignition system anyway, as the car was having issues with breaking down at higher boost (25+ psi).

cambelt? 3 or 4 years or 40k

Engine was completely rebuilt in 08, and has only done about 15k since.

i seen a post on 2bartuning on facebook Ryan posted a pic of Injectors new out the box and flow tested them, they were al over the place, once cleaned and re tested they were spot on, id say thats a good shout mate, better safe than sorry eh.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, mate. Also, for the fuel pumps - perhaps the seals will start to go if not immersed in fuel? Lost the first engine from a faulty fuel pump, so a bit gunshy about this issue.
