3.4 build, worth doing or not ??

I really dont see what the arguement is, if you can afford it then yes, its a no brainer, I know from personal experience how good these are, it just comes down to money at the end of the day.

I'd build it up over a while Paul so cost isn't really an issue as I'll just save for it and buy parts as and when required. I just don't know wether it's actually worth the money with my 76mm turbo because I love how the car drives ATM and don't want to spoil it.

Have you seen the Spool on Kims 3.4l 88mm Turbo. I want to know if its his turbo or 3.4.

I think he has the divided billet bb 88mm turbo, which is a great turbo on a 3.4. It's probably a mix of both. Someone I know had the same turbo setup on a built 3.0 but the spool was no where like that.

The non billet 88 doesn't spool that well on a 3.4 either.

With these big turbos a 3.4 is a must IMO.

Stay 3.0l and keep the piston speeds and angles lower and lighten up the rotating parts.

Then rev higher, more safely with a bigger turbo. Maybe bump the compression up slightly to make it even more responsive.

With the control of good modern ecu's etc you can get away with more.

The piston speeds on the 3.4 engines are getting pretty high!
