Iky
i hope it s half decent It is. I've used it myself without any issues. Silkolene(Fuchs), Motul, Mobil1, Royal Purple are the ones to go for. There's no advantage of each over the other apart from cost in my opinion. stevie_b
I wonder if the expensive brands of oil are worth it on an unmodified or lightly modified car? I'm thinking not, but willing to be proven wrong. The problem is that it's nigh-on impossible to conduct like-for-like tests to compare cheaper (e.g. Halfords, auto factors) and expensive (Royal Purple, Silkolene etc) brands. What I do know, is that I've never knowlingly had to scrap a car or its engine because of poor-quality oil having been used. I just use a semi-synthetic oil of a particular grade.
