Japanfanatic
Hi Fellas! I am preparing my rear fog light conversion (according to this instruction: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?80479-Fog-Light-Conversions-for-beginners ) by using an OEM MKIV rear fog light switch. The car doesn't have the plug connector fitted. I have to wire each pin on it's own. Does anyone have a pinout diagram for the switch or is anyone able to tell me which pin serves which purpose? There are 4 male connectors and two which seem to be female connectors. I believe you have a + and - connector and one for the signal? Thanks in advance:)
d_d
Not sure about the answer to your question, but alot of people have recently bought this. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?253183-Rear-Fog-light-PCB... RobUK
Hi Scott/Pulley I have a UK Switch and the fog light conversion PCB's from Heckler and bascially I want to wire when up to work..... I have no problem in wiring the back end.... but the switch baffles me.... can someone tell me what wire goes to what pin and it's purpose (although I'm not too bothered abotut the purpose if it works I am also guessing that the switch can be wired to the rear light warning on the dashboard as I have seen this in a Post by Mawby...... Sorry if this sounds basic and stupid..... but I don't know and would really like to do this Thanks Rob
ScottC
I know it's a poop drawing, this is what I wrote down when working out what pin is what for the fog switch. The light in the drawing is the backlight for the switch. HTH

RobUK
Ok, I wonder if I have a different switch as I have 6 pins across the top of the plug end and 2 at the bottom... I have attached a picture not that is likely to help but thought it was worth a try....
RobUK
The Pins are marked on the pcb as - E FS LH HR B And the bottom row is + L Does this help?
Pulley
I can't upload pic, but if youlook from the back of the switch, thetop leftand bottom right are + feed from sidelight , second from left top unused, 3rd 5th and 6th are common -, and bottom left is + output So pin 4 top from the left is unused also

ScottC
It's ok Scott, so did I..... I am guess it's a switch thats from Toyota thats from another car? Ok. It should be easy enough to work out what the terminals are using a continuity tester
Pulley
It's the sameswitch as I have in my Uk spec panel along with my headlight level an squirter switches I got from keron, it's also the exact same switch as in my yaris which helped me work out the wiring for it, I'm sure there must be variants tho
