l33wgn
never known it to be the rubber although im no tyre fitter, last time i had that problem it was because the rims had corroded ( common bmw fault )
dr_jekyll
bead seal?
jim
Was going to say the same as Craig, bead seal round the edge should make it hold air. If it's been flat with the weight of the car on I suppose it's possible the sidewall has been weakened so you'd need to think about whether you want to take that risk bud. This happened to me this week. Tyre was a goner. When you take the tyre off you can see all the rubber worn. I only noticed it was flat when I decided the car kept sliding sideways more than it should have done. You have only have to run it flat for a few minutes (if that) and it will be destroyed.
