Samurai 20V
Some guys are really clueless abt cars, and yet they insist they know everything.. Guy from work, up here in Japan, I really dont know how he works for Toyota, He saw the engine bay of my Supra, pointing at the brake booster that was shining after my engine clean, he says " Hey, did you fit a new clutch?" Yesterday, he insists that an LSD locks only one wheel on your diff.. I eventually gave up and just left it... I was amazed he actually knew what an LSD is.. Noz
its nothing to be ashamed of if you dont understand something, if no one has explained it then how will you know. people that pretend to know stuff when they have no idea really bugs me! i had a load of boy racers try and tell me i could lower my car even more and telling me what would improve my car. its like mate, seriously, you have a 1.2 polo on steels, why dont you go buy a supra then show me how its done. they even told me that i should get the twin turbo manifold and put it on my NA, it would be easier than going single using the NA-T manifolds, like WHAT!!! backhander, then walk away my friend, just walk away.... Scott
I had a long talk with a mate that said MR2s had twin turbos. He claims it says twin turbo on cover. It almost does. It says "Twin Entry Turbo". Basically twin scroll. A lot of people seem to think this means 2 turbos.

Samurai 20V
I would take him a copy of the workshop manual to read What does he do at Toyota ? He works in our Product planning dept.. You dont need to know the engineering details of a car, but he at least should be able to tell the difference bet the clutch and brake booster.. TubbyTwo
there is 2 of them therefore it must be better. I have a friend that reads evo magazine every month sees himself as a car expert, he can quote figures for any car top speed and is obsessed with the 0-60 times of cars fanstatic on paper, but open the bonnet and he is lost could probably tell me where the battery is. ManwithSupra
I think its the same in any industry, People hire monkeys that really dont know what they are talking about and these people will argue that they are right etc. Its funny when I say well do what you feel is best (as they are having none of it) then later on they come back saying it doesent work... hmmm funny that.
