Dnk
Just got a quote for a new heating system to my house and getting all installed at the end of the week, so I should be fine If its a condensing boiler make sure the pipework that goes outside gets properly lagged, mine wasn't and it froze solid stopping the boiler from working. Konrad
Yeah, condensing pipe will be connected to internal piping from bath, I heard too many horror stories with them freezing at winter time

Snooze
4x4 doesn't make much difference down this end of the country. Whether you get grip or not doesn't stop you getting stuck nose-to-tail on the M25 for 6 hours because someone else can't.

I tend to stay away from the motoways including dual carrigeways and use the A rds and even B rds if required, i just get the map out and off you go. Havard
Ill just take the Supe out in the snow as usual Ive gotten stuck once or twice, but if you are calm and patient, most situations are resolved if you use your brain rather than getting in a fluster. Supras are great in the snow (manual n/a's ) - as mentioned, its other people you need to watch out for, id rather take a country lane in the snow (which ill often do, just for the challenge) rather than built up housing areas. My old car eh? It rarely went out in the snow or ice but i did go out a few times just to give her a run. Never let me down once and the rear grip was excellent with practically new Dunlops on it. 2012....it's coming.... Ofcourse, at the end of 2011. caseys
I always love checking the weather in one place when people say about this http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/RSXX0122 And it's quite mild! I believe I saw it hit -51C the other year, people were having to shovel diesel into their cars as it was just frozen.

caseys
Lol grits. No I meant the council running out of road treatment stuff and the media going into a frenzy I still though have some weird imagery in my head of the media going into a frenzy over instant porridge. Especially if any news challenges have really nice weather girls
