Scott
The pain wasn't actually bad at all. I had 2 un-nerving parts during it. The first was when he went over the spine for the outline for the first time. That vibration going through your bones just isn't right. It felt horrible, I broke out in a cold sweat at that point and we both started laughing. He had to stop or I would be getting some impromptu lines. Once the hilarity had ended I was fine though as I knew what to expect. The scratching/burning sensation isn't THAT bad at all. I really wouldn't fancy hours of it in the one go though, I had almost an hour and that was plenty for the first go. He actually said it was rather large for a first tat. Towards the end he was colouring in the "I" when I started getting a wierd feeling in the tricep area of my left arm. At first I thought it was my imagination, or maybe from tensing slightly, but it just kept getting more and more intense. One of the other guys came up for a chat and I mentioned it to him, I said it felt like a nerve. Turns out that's exactly what it was. He said there's a cracking one behind the right knee, he hit it with one of his mates and his neck cranked to the right. Not sure if he was extracting the urine or not but it was funny anyway. The feeling in my arm was like getting a minor shock, like the feeling on your tongue when you touch a 9v battery
