OK change of plan again(I said this would happen) budget dropped to no more than 10k, I want to spend more on the Supra now as I have found my old list on my perfect Supra I wrote up 3 years ago and I'm actually halfway there :D.

I guess it's going to be 350z, S2000 or DC5 Integra Type R (or wild card put a V8 and manual box in the N/A).

(tommorow it will have changed again though)

So what you are saying is that you want a TVR or a Range Rover?

S2000 would be cool. Not much power, but I love the way it looks!

:D Although I'd love a Cerbera, the running costs and reliability is too much to contend with, don't like Range Rovers, gone to chavvy for my liking, but I do nave a strong love for the american V8's, one of my dream cars is a '32 Ford Coupe with a big block and done ZZ Top style:) :

Actually all of my favorite cars(bar the Supra) are V8's, I would quite happily sell my kidney for a ZR1 Corvette

They do look stunning, it's those beefed up back arches that do it for me :).

I think what he wants is a course of decisive pills :)

That's a given :D, I've been driving 5 years and have owned 11 or 12 cars in that time (I've had a Supra for more than 3 of them though), I constantly change what I want, I love big block V8's but couldn't justify running one on a daily basis, if I could, I'd probably get a Corvette.

I've had too many Civics, if I were to go back to the 'H' it would have to be something different, sorry :D

Although 1000 bags of Haribo may persuade me :innocent:

Here's a thought, why don't you just get something sensible and decent on fuel rather than spending a huge amount of money on a daily which is not much better on fuel than a supe. ;)

More money than sense these days some people :D

But that would be sensible  besides the cars on my new shortlist are better on fuel than an auto Supra.

I need reminding why using the aero daily isn't an option!?

3 reasons really, 1) I don't want it to see salt, or bad weather in general. 2) I enjoy working on it so don't want to limit myself to weekend 'rush jobs'. 3) If i'm using it on a daily basis it removes that 'special' feeling I get from it when I do drive it.

So why get a 'daily' that uses more fuel than it needs, that will ultimately make the aero feel slow? Seriously, slap yourself and get something thats going to be nice to drive in the winter. Even the Integra, which is by far the most sensible of the ones you have suggested, is going to be a torquey monster begging for modifications to be flown overnight from Japan, understeer in the wet, and make you wonder why you bothered. Why have 2 cars that use loads of fuel? You already said petrol is 140p a litre.

Though it pains me to do it, i agree fully with Martin, just get something reliable and diesel for the winter that you can use to get to work in. It will be comfy and dry, warm and a pleasure to drive.
