Swampy442
As far as I know, towing an auto car is a no no as it will lead to destruction of the box due to lack of lubrication. However, if the engine is running and the box in N, would it be OK to tow then?
Abz
I never knew that!
absz
keep the towing speed low (below 30mph) and you should be fine. its the oil pump in the gearbox that starts to wind up and it feels as the brakes are draging if you do get a problem. Jamesy
I had this issue at Santa pod, dont tow it mate. Unless of course you can jack the back up and just tow is with the front wheels on the floor facing backwards
Dnk
I would rather pop it on a recovery truck or trailer than tow an auto. What car are you on about ?
JamieP
Take the prop off maybe? (if RWD)
Swampy442
Cheers for the input lads Its another Aristo lol. The prop off is certainly an option but theyre on so tight its hard to do on the floor. Currently trying to secure a trailer but the other option was towing.
