Tyson
I have been away for about 3 weeks but when I left I didn't have a chance to put the trickle charger on the car. When I got back the battery was flat to the point there was no alarm or any lights on the dash at all. I hooked it up to the trickle charger for a day and when I came back to it the fob didn't work so I had to use the key. Got in and it started up no problem but the red security light was illuminated constantly. Took the car out for a drive to a friends parents wedding party, parked it up for about 5 hours when I got back the alarm still didn't work and the light was illuminated still. Used the key to open and drove home. I assume I need to re sync the fob how do I do this? Note the alarm has not gone off at any point unlike other threads I have read on the subject. shaky
Have you got a spare fob? try that if you have one, after that I'm not sure, but maybe try to repeat what the instructions say a few times and if you still have no joy time to get a pro to sort it. Tyson
I disconnected the battery again and now the car has stopped alarming but it won't start anymore. When I turn the key in the ignition nothing happens, nothing at all it doesn't even attempt to turn over I just get dash lights. I also can here the fuel pump priming but when I attempt to turn it over I get a strange noise from the bonnet and nothing happens.
SupraP-Z
Take the battery out the car, charge it fully overnight...connect it all up again. If you've been pressing the fob, as soon as you connect the negative on the bat, the alarm should beep/chirp. This is what i do when i have alarm problems, or if the bat is fully charged, check the connections...rub the terminals down with some emery paper or similar....it may just be a bad connection. Normally disconnecting the negative terminal should reset the alarm. If youve tried all of this, try taking the key out, open then close your drivers side door, put the key back in and try starting it. Trial and error my friend...hope this helps, alarms can be a pain in the ass!
