Attero
Is it safe to use the space saver wheel at the rear if you have LSD? I've heard normally that its ideal to swap the front with the back and use the spacesaver at the front but that would normally only apply to small space savers. SteveC
From memory, there's nothing in the car handbook about not using the spacesaver on the rear. I recall it just says don't go over 50 mph when it's being used.

Attero
oh no luke you had a puncture, and as said just use it to get to the garage and done hammer it. It was the nail. I got it removed and plugged in as the tyre got to the point it was losing pressure to quickly. When I got it plugged in, it came to only 4 hours before it went completely flat and I didn't realise (just thought my car was going sideways because of the greasy rain! ) so I may of damaged the tyre. Whether I have or not though, I don't like the idea of running on a plugged tyre, especially as I do harsh driving at car club so I decided to buy a new tyre to be on the safe side and peace of mind. Was lucky as the tyre nearly came off the bloody wheel! It wasn't noticeable until I thought it was odd that the car kept sliding sideways too often. Abz
I wouldn't drive it really long distances with the spacesaver on, to get you home it's fine. One thing though, don't accelerate too quickly, I did to pull into another lane, it was an interesting lane change
