Dnk
What do you want a high stall TC for ?
ashbuster
Definitely not sluggish bud, with a high stall TC you can pretty much run rings round most people in the 6spds. It takes a heafty shift from a 6spd to run the 1/4 in similar times to similar powered auto TTs with high stalls. doesnt it make it quicker like scott said? would it have quicker acceleration would just be untill i get a conversion done some time in the future but would defenatly be a garage job, the hardest thing ive had to do on a car was change a gearbox and clutch on a saxo vtr in the snow so nothing as big as this,

You'll need either a 6 speed or a built auto 'box. Also for 700bhp, it'll have to have been converted to a single turbo or larger twins. ashbuster
yeah mate so i can go out and buy any type of supra because here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?33302-VVTi-A-discussion it says Neutral MAF. The VVTi uses MAF, The MAF is far more accurate than a speed density system. The downside is that the MAF will eventually become a restriction if big power is required. and the MAF can only pass so much air. Some in the US were trying twin MAF mods to over come this. The US/UK MAF seems to top out around 500ish BHP just want to make sure i get the right car for me as i dont want to have to buy again and even if i got a auto i can get the conversion done
Scott
Doesn't make any difference. The MAF is only a problem when using a stock ECU, for 700hp you will be getting a standalone. Getting a VVTi may cost a little more due to added bits and bobs but it will be a newer car in the long run.
