Scott
looks like its got the go ahead, this could be our answer to suprapod!! Definitely. Even better though as look at the scenery we have around here. The runs that we could go on would be truely epic with a big convoy If we build the strip, they will come

Geo
Boom! I posted about this on Facebook about 3 wks ago. This place is like 10mins walking from my house. 5min drive in the supra. I'll go check it out this wknd when I'm home. This will be one of the biggest attractions to hit Scotland. I can see me spending shed loads of money to get the supra track prepared Oh dear lins ain't gona be happy.
st3ven1
I'll go check it out this wknd when I'm home. Wouldn't bother, according to one of the guys on the SXOC, it is still very much a building site with nothing even resembling a track or a drag strip. So much for their first event being in August past.
drift_bear
i got a short reply from the company that is building this Hi We are almost thro' the planning process and hope to have at least one event of some sort this year - I'll keep you informed. Jim so maybe be ready for next years events lol

Scott
So that will be full wet tires and an outboard motor then !!!!! The fact that it takes him 5 mins to drive a distance he can walk in 10 says it all for me
Neil-NA
They should build the drag strip downhill, just like they are in the good old US of A.
Charlotte
This will be one of the biggest attractions to hit Scotland. Really?
Scott
Really? As far as man-made and non-historical goes... probably You should see our "National" theme park.

Scott
Yeah, but you have the Loch Ness monster! The natural attractions in Scotland are second to none. It's a shame we don't have a few large man-made attractions though. It's only when you get a little older you appreciate the beauty that is our country, kids don't want to see trees, water and grass... they want to see rollercoasters lol. It is often the kids that decide where the holidays are spent so Scotland doesn't get much of a look in unfortunately.

I absolutely adored Scotland as a teenager - I spent the summer in Edinburgh with my godmother as she was in a fringe play. Best summer of my life. Josh
Don't think I've ever been to Scotland. A club trip to the drag strip would be good
tony tt
I really doubt this will go ahead Irvine is notorious for knocking things down not building decent attractions and events like this. If it does go ahead then brilliant but i won't hold my breath for it.

drift_bear
heres the reply that 1 of the guys from the sxoc got and it goes abit in to more detail than got ''Hi We are almost through the planning process and hope to have at least one event this year, fully up and running for 2012. We were thinking a 'badge' type day - or 'owners' day to let people see what we have planned - might work. This - if it was a day - would have catering, a band or two and some sort of show, perhaps stunt cars/trucks/bikes. We need to provide safety, security and stewarding, so would have to charge, say £10 a car. Is this reasonable? What do you think? There is an area for drifting/barrel racing - see top left of the attached artists impression. I'll keep you informed.''
