Gazzawu
ive recently performed a complete flush of the atf fluid in my auto gearbox. it was a bugger trying to get the fluid right cos it was always slightly above the hot mark. i didn know whether it was cos of a trail being left or something. well after adjusting the fluid level i reversed out the driveway and could hear a 'crunch crunch crunch' sounding like stiff springs being relaxed or compressed. i was heading to town so i took the motorway and thought i would give it a go to see any difference in shifts. definitely shifted smoother. then hit about 115mph i decided to ease it a little bit. a second or two i heard a loud clunk sound. i pulled off on the next exit to have a look around and found nothing noticeable. tried to check the other gears by changing on man mode from L 2 D and R they all worked fine. any ideas? paul mac
i had some auto box problems and took it to a auto box specialist about 30 miles away, it was well worth the trip as they really knew there shit and put my mind to rest, the box is a very complex bit of kit i would get it looked at like tommorow or you could face a very expensive bill
Gazzawu
about the creaking noise it does that when im reversing at full lock to the right. i jumped out and looks like the tyre mite be hitting the front wall. there is plenty of clearance on the right. Weird cos im using exactly the same size as the last time 225/45/17. ive only discovered this since i had the tyres changed. took the car back to the tyre dealer and they just said that they just jacked the car up exchanged tyre and thats all. basically saying its not their fault. wot could have caused it? cos its really bugging me
