supra_aero
As per the title. http://www.whipcar.com/ Was going to rent a car next weekend but came across this website. Seems incredibly cheap compared to renting a car traditionally, and best of all I only need the car on Sunday/Monday. Most rental places are closed Sunday hence this seems perfect. Get a cheap diesel for the weekend (I'm moving alot of items between homes hence I need an estate or saloon). Is there a catch? I'd like your opinions please.. foley
this seems cool as someone renting a car i wouldnt be too worried but i dont think i would fancy renting a car through these guys because people can use the car for crime get fines points and i dont know how the insurance would work
supra_aero
Yeh I can't think of a catch from my end (driver). I just don't want to be accused of making scratches which were already there etc.

foley
its only me but i wouldnt feel safe letting some complete stranger driving my car, even if thy were paying me. how many cars are there to rent? there seems to be loads of cars on the site to rent and i read all of the policies and as the owner of the car you get to screen who you rent the car to but i would not feel too safe but for people who have a car that they may not use all the time it seems a good idea to get some spare cash at a decent rate per day or even per hour. if the owner claims you have damaged the car then you are liable for the first 500 pounds but 250 if you take out the extra insurance but i guess it would be a case of doing an inspection before and after like when renting any car and even the tickets and fines they say just send it and they settle it and then settle with the driver who had the car at the time so i guess it just comes down to how reputable the website is and the owners
