Smoke_U
HI! I´m back from a streatrace. And i lost some races thow I know I should have won the race or at least been along side the other car. The reason is I went TTC after having problems with the second turbo not boosting. Now the turbos start bosting att around 3900-4200ish. The other cars get a much bigger lead before mine starts to accelerate hard. One important factor is that mine is an Automatic + some bits, so i can´t build upp anny boost form a stand still. Is there anyway to make them spool earlier like around 3500rpm like it was before? Or should i get a launshcontroll? (Pay no attention to my spelling) Ten, four.
nigelboyne
go back to the original set up and go bpu you will be a lot faster
Konrad
Something's wrong with your setup, it should start spooling from around 3400 rpms.
Abz
Without a doubt go back to the stock setup & make sure you are full BPU, you'd have better chances. Are these drag races or rolling starts? If you want to adjust when the turbo's come on in TTC mode then I'd imagine an aftermarket ECU can assist in this as you can't make the change with the stock ECU. I am 95% sure this is the case but could someone confirm please?
Scott
If you want an earlier spool then your best bet would be NOS. Otherwise a high stall would be a good choice. Go for something around 3.5k if you can find it. 3200 would probably be perfect but it depends how agressive you want it and what tyres you are running. You should start making positive boost around 3k rpm in TTC, you won't really feel any proper kick till 3800 though which is where the high stall comes in handy
johnny g
Or maybe have an aftermarket ECU which can throw in a load more advance in the low-end to improve power? Also, play with the cam timing if you can?
Smoke_U
Thanks you all! But im gonna go back to standard TT as it was quicker that way of the line + plus i like the kick when 2nd turbo comes alive! I seriously thought on buying my brothers NOS kit, maybe i will one day. But i thing one of the bypass valves is sticking. The cheaper option...
Branners
Is it Eurospec, UK spec or j-spec? I always felt the UK spec turbos responded much better to TTC mod than the j-specs.
Smoke_U
Its an J-speck.
Swampy442
Thats normal performance from TTC in my experience. Solve your 2nd turbo issue and go back to sequential
