hodge Posted September 10, 2011 Share Posted September 10, 2011 I've currently got a B&M short shifter in the car. After the car has been used for a while it goes very tight. Not an issue to go into gear but when in neutral when I push it over to the side it doesn't return back to centre. It doesn't make the car harder to drive at all just I don't like it. Now it's mapped I want to dork all the little issues that annoy me, this being 1 of them. Is this a common issue with a B&M short shifter, and if so can someone recommend me a good quality one. marc_p Posted September 11, 2011 Share Posted September 11, 2011 Just try applying more grease onto the ball part it pivots on, through manhandling at the manufacturers end and at your end whilst fitting it, chances are a lot of the original grease has been wiped away.
