pedrosixfour
I've been searching since 6pm yesterday, my head is fried and I'm still at a loss to find much definite info about these five plugs that accompany the main ECU harness through the firewall and into the passanger footwell. They are from a 1JZ non VVTi which was pulled from a Soarer auto, I am using the Soarer's own engine management unit so those 4 plugs from the harness are sorted. Can anyone identify any of them as serving one particular function, the plug for the traction control for example, or some other now wholly unnecessary item. Can anyone shed some light on these for me please, a proper pinout of each one would be a massive help so I can decide what is relevent on a track car. Soarer Plug IK1 Soarer Plug IK2 Soarer Plug IJ1 Soarer Plug IJ2 Soarer Plug D01 Thanks in advance. Konrad
Grey is mainly to do with powering up things like starting car up, ECU power up etc. Orange have a lot to do with controls on dash and few lights like engine management, those 2 will be enough to start-up car. I have description of most pins at home, search also for 1JZ plugs topic as I did put soarer wiring plans there in pdf file.

pedrosixfour
This is the shizzle right here. They don't come much plainer than this. And it didn't cost me the bones of €100 or need to be shipped from Australia "cos that's just the way it is":nyah: With this, leesupra12's hard work and the info that RyanG sent me I should be able to make some kind of educated attempt at getting the car up and running. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&drKey=93&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.clublexus.com%2Fforums%2Fsc-400-300%2F461178-help-need-wiring-diagram.html&v=1&libid=1316109238255&out=http%3A%2F%2Fimg3.imageshack.us%2Fimg3%2F1781%2Fbodyharness.gif&title=Help...Need%20Wiring%20Diagram%20-%20Club%20Lexus%20Forums&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fimg3.imageshack.us%2Fimg3%2F1781%2Fbodyharness.gif&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13161092507862 I hope it will be of use to others. keron
ive printed the diagrams off that thread so far.. is there any more to it? iirc the soarer has 1 orange, 2 white, 2 grey plugs... the supra na loom has 1 orange, one grey. (on the engine harness.) have you got yours up and running?
pedrosixfour
ive printed the diagrams off that thread so far.. is there any more to it? iirc the soarer has 1 orange, 2 white, 2 grey plugs... the supra na loom has 1 orange, one grey. (on the engine harness.) have you got yours up and running? Purring like a kitten mate, fired up first flick of the key after I did the wiring and all guages and warning lights are 100% functional. I know my notes are a flippin mess but what I have posted is exactly what I wired up (for a basic track car, no A/C, ABS, T/C, etc) The proper printed text is the NA's pinout designation for the body plug (big orange and small grey) and whats written beside it in my own chicken scratches are the equivalent pinouts for the 1JZ's body plugs. For example pin no.2 on the NA orange plug has the same function as pin no. 7 on the 1JZ orange plug, IL1 #2 -> IK1 #7. In some instances the wire colour is the same which can assist if there is some doubt but several are totally different colours so don't rely on that alone. I also tracked the functions back to the ECU for each engine as some were located at the same pin for both ECUs, again that was just for extra confirmation if the function description were worded slightly differently. As far as I can recall the/my fuse box plugs were the same as were quite a few of the other engine plugs. I can't recall much of a problem that end. If you can follow my notes I think you will have a transplant that at least starts and stops. The luxuries will be extra work as I didn't want or need them.
