skippyboyo1 Posted September 7, 2011 Share Posted September 7, 2011 Hi guys as usual im in need of some help. Im talking to a company at the moment about some 18inch rota wheels. Now the package ive asked for is 8.5 fronts with an ET35 and 9.5 rears again with an off set of ET35. They have come back to me and said from stock they can supply me with exactly what ive asked for however the front wheels will be ET30. so my first question is what difference,visual or performance will the ET30 insted of my requested ET35 give?? ive not a clue when it comes to offsets. and then my second question,i always run avon zz3s (i do fast road stuff and lots of trackdays) and ive never had a problem with these tyres,however they have offered me the following....... 235/40R18 Falken FK452 front, 275/35R18 Falken FK452 rear........i just want to know what your thoughts are on these tyres and actual tyre sizes. pedrosixfour Posted September 7, 2011 Share Posted September 7, 2011 The difference between ET +35 and +30 is that the outside lip of the rim will be moved out 5mm closer to the wheel arch. Depending on the ride height of your car and the size of tyre you fit this may or may not be a problem. It also actually means that the inner lip is moved 5mm further away from the coilover but there really is no other issue regarding suspension characteristics when comparing these two offsets. Would that cause the car to understeer a bit more? I doubt it, my front track is 108mm wider than stock (rear 130mm wider track) and it drives just as well as any other supra ive been in. I thought they were disliked in the performance community. youre not thinking of Fullrun are you Scotty These RSR's are good value over R888's etc and are fully road legal like the 888's The Federal FZ-201's are a non road legal track day tyre and are a great price.
