heartworm
Neither? Something on Android. I have a Nokia N8 for work, and my own IPhone, Other half uses an HTC Wildfire, and I want the android operating system much more.
Branners
HTC is the way to go. But, if you have to have a Blackberry then try the new 9860. Full touchscreen unit, same size as an i-phone. I have one coming from Vodafone tomorrow hopefully. They have also released a touch screen Bold, the 9900. So lots of choice.
Attero
I would advise an Android phone also. But if not, I would go for an iPhone.
Lbm
I would advise an Android phone also. But if not, I would go for an iPhone. Perhaps a Samsung Galaxy S2? I've heard they're rather splendid

Abz
Hey dude! I'd highly recommend you pop into carphonewarehouse & go through a few phones there. Everyone's needs are different, I have a Blackberry, iPhone, HTC & I got the Wife a Windows 7 mobile (Don't even bother asking why). They all have different pro's & con's, the main two I use are the Blackberry (work) & iPhone (personal).
scotty71
non of the above!! go for one of these and include the cheesy smile http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/10157iFEB9C93D5FC0E3D6/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1 Other than that HTC
sideexitsupra
Avoid the Blackberry 8900 touch screen slidy thing like the plague. I have had one for 12 months and can't wait to get rid of it! iPhone all the way for me.
Attero
Perhaps a Samsung Galaxy S2? I've heard they're rather splendid I chose HTC Sensation over the S2, purely because I had my heart set on a HTC. But the S2 is the way forward. I had two blackberrys and they were just dreadful. Didn't stop having problems and the build quality was equivalent of what comes out of my own intestines.
ScottC
If you decide on an iphone I would hold out until October. The iphone 5 is rumoured to be in production and expected to hit the shops around mid October with the release of ISO 5.
a98pmalcolm
Galaxy s 2 is the smartest and most powerful phone on the market.. Its brilliant! http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/20-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440 And number one isssssss: http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/20-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440?artc_pg=21 All reviewers are saying the same thing.. What ever you do DO NOT GET AN IPHONE. You will be more restricted than a pair of Tighty Whiteys, no flash player, only supports itunes, only supports Quicktime list is bloody endless... And I doubt we will see the iphone 5 this year.. I'm not interested in seeing it at all if I'm honest.. With the amount of smart phones out that will let you use as will the iphone 5 will still be restrictive, and that not what anyone wants especially as there will be a hefty price tag on the fashion phone.. Noz
I've had a HTC for nearly 20 months... Ive got the HD2, and its on windows. Typically, this isnt the best operating system. But the phone after time had loaaaads of clitchs. But I can only guess this was why they changed OS but kept or improved the hardware. I think HTC were the first guys to have a 1Ghz processor... which was amazing until I loaded 20+ contacts! Unsure how the android OS will stand up to the test of time, but I'm going iPhone when it comes out... it texts the wrong people, and that's reason enough for me to try and new make of phone probably due to being windows mind you..... Shane
It all depends on what your primary use is imo. If it needs to be synchronised to Outlook and used for work stuff then imo Blackberry has to be the one. It handles all the work stuff and gives you access to the things people like ie. social networking sites (providing your bes if you are on a network for work is set to allow that) and the net, making it a good compromise. BBM is great also. The Bolds are good, we are currently using the 9780 and they seem ok with some of the bugs and issues from the 9700 resolved, we ditched all the Torches we had as they were a nightmare to support, and if you are looking for something smaller, the Pearls are pretty good, although out of 4 issued since March, I have had 2 back with keyboard faults which isnt a good success rate. I havent seen the new touchscreen Bold yet, but intend to order one in to try as soon as our provider has them in. But if you are into loads of aps and games etc then iPhone is the logical choice. My Kids have them and for their purposes, they fit the bill well.

Branners
The new Blackberry 9860 full touchscreen is really nice. We have one at work and its with somebody for testing at the moment. Scrolls really smoothly, actually makes v6 of the Blackberry OS make some sense, touchscreen keyboard is no worse than an i-phone. So well worth considering. My other half has a blackberry bold thing, also about 5 other friends with blackberry's and have ALL had issues. been using htc stuff for work the past 5 years abd they have been okay but quite fragile. Current one is built really well but has endless software issues but that maybe our software. I miss my nokia 6210 but i know if i need to use it in 70 years time in an emergency it will probably still have charge in the battery :-)
