I reacently had some horrible nosise coming from my engine, long story short it needs an engine rebuild since the was scorch marks and shit every where.

I asked the guy at the Garage if we could get prices on

1 3.4 stroker Kit

2 forged internals

It currently run about 550 bhp with a T88 turbo fitted with full BPU but want to turn the power right up and do it right.

What size injectors and fuel pump will be nessasary to achive 1000 bhp or as close as.

I have Gready top of the range managment system fitting already.

T 88 turbo fitted

Triple plate clutch and light weight fly wheel.

Any advise and Querys welcome, its a project not going to be ready untill next summer so i have lots of time for reasearch to make it a machine.

Thanks all

Lloyd

Better get your wallet out if you want a true 1000hp car.

A decent ECU will be required for starters (Will be around 2.5k when all is said and done). A fudging unit (greddy) won't cut it.

Twin bosch 044 fuel pumps with staggered trigger (you could use a race pump but one of the members had one and it overheated after a short time, for drag it would be fine)

Fuel lines all replaced with much larger ones

Custom loom for pumps

Larger fuel filter

1200+cc Injectors (higher would most likey be recommended)

High Flowing Fuel Rail

Most likely a fully built head with the following..

High lift reasonably agressive cams

Ported and polished

Oversized valves

Titanium Double springs & retainers.

3.4 stroker would probably get you there the easiest but the choice is yours when it comes to that front.

Are you going for a new block?

Decent bearings will be required.

Good oil cooling

What gearbox do you have? 6spd will be required unless looking into a serious autobox.

You will need a better diff to run 1000hp, expect at least 1k for that.

Wheels & tyres will need to be considered.

The list is honestly endless mate. I could be here all day.

Thanks mate that give me alot to think about and discuss with my garage, i have around 8-10 k to spend on it so believe me when i say i want to do it right. More if required but im not wanting to go much past the 10 k mark.

Going to forget about the 3.4 stroker and try to make it as safe a build as possible,

It is a 6 speed gear box,

then engine is in bits at the moment but i will be using the original head for now,

thanks for that info mate i will start making notes and getting shopping for parts

For a proper 3.4 1000HP Build it's gonna take around £35-40k at least. Turbo kits, Longblocks, Engine management are just one aspect.

You gotta think about suspension, brakes, wheels and tyres to get traction....

Initially going single for 650bhp without forged internals was around 10k all in

Well id say for about 15k you could get to about 1000bhp not using fancy box parts. however building a car with 1000hp is going to take some serious knowledge. 15k is about what it would cost if you did all the work yourself and in just parts.

getting the car reliable with 1000bhp is another thing.. its going to take a while to get all "bugs" out of the system.
