Tricky-Ricky
Bit of a difficult one to measure, as in order to do so you need to disconnect and block off all the PCV system, i actually measured mine with and without the std PCV connected, and with an external catch tank, by using a low reading pressure gauge connected to the dip stick aperture, but could get no pressure reading, but nor did i get any vacuum. Why do you think you need to test this?
absz
Its not on my supra but a perkins generator used to power runway lights. I know what the fault is,but have to do all the paperwork and data readings before repairs.so will have to purchase a flow meter for calculations . Tricky-Ricky
I see, still not sure if there is such a beast, excess cylinder ring/bore wear usually results in crankcase pressurisation and overwhelms the breathing system, i would have thought that a pressure gauge would show it up. absz
You can purchase them from usa sites but require one local,The engine i require it for has the intake manifold incorporated into the rockercover housing with gaskets seperating the intake ports. its these gaskets that are leaking casing forced induction pressures entering the crankcase. but i need to do a detailed report of the repairs/findings to prove the repair once done. As a seperate company has recommended a full engine rebuild at a cost of approx £15k+ due to excessive blow-by.
