Dim Sum
Has the title suggest. I recently fitted a boost controller and i want to gain a little more understanding of it. I understand setting the boost. I'm running on UK spec engine and turbo full BPU and 1.2 bar of boost is safe. It then says gains. what does it mean by gains? i thought just by setting it at 1.2 it sort itself out. Has i said set it on 1.2 bar and i put the gain on 60.0 that gave me a reading on the boost gauge at peak boost of 1.04Bar. anyone have any idea what gain does? scotty71
you are ok to 1.4 bar on UK steel turbo's The higher the gain the faster spool time IIRC - be careful as you dont want to overboost and have the turbos spat out the exhaust. Post up what model BC you have and maybe somebody can relay the settings to you Edited September 3, 2011 by scotty71 (see edit history)
